- Canada Post / fulfilment carriers – shipping labels
All partners must safeguard your data under contractual terms or their own strict compliance frameworks (e.g., Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1).
6. International transfers
Our servers and many partners are located in Canada or the United States. When data leaves your home country (e.g., the EU/UK or Germany), we rely on:
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for EU/UK residents
- PIPEDA equivalency decisions for cross-border Canadian transfers
- Partner certifications such as SOC 2 or PCI-DSS where applicable
7. Retention
- Orders & invoices: 7 years (tax law)
- Email marketing records: until you unsubscribe or after 24 months of inactivity
- Support tickets & reviews: 5 years
- Analytics & cookies: 26 months (Google’s default) or sooner if you clear cookies
8. Your rights
Canadian visitors (PIPEDA) – Access or correct personal info, withdraw consent, complain to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
EU/UK visitors (GDPR/UK GDPR) – Right to access, erase, restrict, port data, or object to processing.
California residents (CCPA) – Know, delete, or opt-out of “sale”/“sharing” of personal info (we don’t sell, but remarketing counts as “sharing”). Use our Do Not Share link in the footer.
9. Children
Our products and site are aimed at adults 16+. We do not knowingly collect children’s data. Parents may contact us for deletion requests.
10. Security
We employ HTTPS encryption, server firewalls, least-privilege access for staff, and routine security reviews. While no system is 100 % invulnerable, we strive to protect your information with industry-standard safeguards.
